Change - Going Round In Circles

Change...the only constant. As technology speeds up, so does the struggle to stay included into the mainstream. People are getting left behind. Community Stakeholders in Social Media are struggling to promote the responsible use of multi-media with families and schools.

ONE THOUSAND AND ONE INITIATIVE

This local youth group proposal centers on how multi-media privacy, advertising and consumption affects and conditions our sense of identity. This program exposes and counters the divisive nature of contextual targeting in advertising. This is achieved by teaching families skills in Critical Thinking and Emotional Intelligence. The point is to revisit a common unifying theme from our heritage past: Be mindful of others through personal relationships in order to keep a healthy sense of identity, even when there is deep division.

It seems the more we pass legislation to safeguard our children from the ill effects of one another, the more we distract them from what really works. This is what is so poignant. The devices we market continue to hurt or help in making us all resilient and sustainable. We decide now what is normal going forward. Ours is a culture under attack. We continue to jeopardize our posterity if we ignore what's happening to us through the divisive conditioning of media.
